Great Loves in Classic Literature Activities

Looking for a fun Valentine’s Day activity that will stretch and challenge your students? Love is in the air, and this classic literature activity is no simple word find! It will require students to:

• decipher clues to identify texts and characters
• find names
• discover the classic love quote
• unscramble titles and authors, and finally
• match classic works with their writer.

 
Some classics such as Romeo and Juliet will be easily identifiable, while others will prove more challenging.
 
A perfect activity to celebrate Valentine’s Day, to use throughout the year for early finishers (it’s not branded for Valentine’s Day) or to introduce a unit on well-loved classics of literature. Awaken an interest in the Great Books of literature and inspire your students to explore a classic they’ve not read before!
